Get Outdoors in September to Support Clean Water in the Gunpowder Watershed!

This September, I'm participating in Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC)'s virtual fundraiser, Explore the Gunpowder Watershed Challenge. I support GVC's vision of a Gunpowder Watershed that consists of healthy waters, healthy lands, and healthy communities. Home to Prettyboy Reservoir and Loch Raven Reservoir, the Gunpowder Watershed sustains us by supplying over 60% of the greater Baltimore area's drinkable water supply.

For over three decades, the GVC has worked tirelessly to preserve the beauty of the Gunpowder Watershed and reduce pollution to our drinking water reservoirs. GVC and its amazing volunteers have planted 32,000+ trees, removed 260+ tons of trash, and preserved 1800+ acres in conservation easements. 

Join me in making a difference for future generations. From now through September 30, my personal goal is to walk/bike/paddle 45 miles (the length of the Gunpowder Watershed) and/or raise $250. Will you help me reach my goal?
